The Deutschlandlied, which is the national anthem of Germany, is not forbidden. However, the third stanza of the original version, which contains the line "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles," is not used as the national anthem due to its association with the Nazi era. Instead, the current national anthem uses only the third stanza of the song, which begins with the line "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit" and is considered to be a symbol of unity and freedom in modern Germany. While the original version of the Deutschlandlied is not forbidden, it is not officially used as the national anthem. **

The Deutschlandlied is banned in Germany because of its association with the Nazi regime. The first stanza of the song, which includes the line "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles," was used by the Nazis to promote their nationalist and expansionist agenda. Due to its controversial history and the negative connotations it carries, the Deutschlandlied is not officially recognized as the national anthem of Germany. Instead, the country's national anthem is a different version of the song that only uses the third stanza, which promotes unity and democracy. **

The connection between the Deutschlandlied, nationalism, and liberalism lies in the song's ability to evoke feelings of national identity and aspirations for political ideals such as liberty and equality. **

As an AI language model, I do not have the ability to sing or perform music. However, the "Deutschlandlied" has three verses, and traditionally the first verse is the most commonly sung. As an AI language model, I don't have personal feelings, but I can provide an analysis. The decision to adopt the entire "Deutschlandlied" as the national anthem of Germany has been a topic of debate. Some people see it as a positive step towards embracing the country's history and culture, while others have concerns about the inclusion of the controversial first stanza. Ultimately, the adoption of the entire anthem reflects the complexities of national identity and the ongoing dialogue about how to reconcile the past with the present. **
